WINNERS IP TOP Awards 99 ‘Zoom’, ‘SwissGuide’ and ‘Peter Rabbit’
Zurich, 18 November 1999
The IP TOP Awards 99 winners are ‘Zoom’, ‘SwissGuide’ and ‘The Official Peter Rabbit Website’. On the evening of 18 November the Awards were handed out by Andy Maerz, chairman of the jury and Head of New Media at Ringier, sponsor of the awards. The CC-TOP Award for the Best Corporate Communications Website was given to ‘Novo.dk’ by Martin Radelfinger, managing director of Homepage AG. The award ceremony took place in the night club ‘Jail’ in Zurich.
Choosing the winners was a very difficult job. The judges used special decision software to make it easier. ‘Comparing websites with different targets and in different formats took a lot of time,’ said one of the judges. But eventually four of these websites emerged as the best in European online publishing.
