IP TOP Award takes a breath....

After 4 years the award takes a break, together with the Interactive Publishing conference. At this stage (2004) we are looking at a revival by 2005.

However, the directory is still very much used and consulted by people from all industries. Please make sure to keep your entries up to date!!

BBC News Online big winner in news category

Zurich – 7 November 2001 – The IP Top Awards 2001 were handed out during the Content Summit ’01. The winner in the category "Best European Interactive Content" was given to ZDF.reporter, the site of the German public television station ZDF. The Jury Special Prize went to bkaro dot net, an artists platform.

The team of experts comes from all over Europe and is rounded off by a judge from the US. Criteria included ‘Content Quality’, ‘User Friendliness’ and ‘Interaction’. "We find the quality of the judges and the judging process gives the nominated and the selfnominated sites a relevant feedback on their efforts. It benchmarks them in detail in an ever more competitive interactive content field" said initiator and President of Interactive Publishing, Norbert Specker.
